Access to Water and Sanitation Requires USD 200 million per Year .
In Madagascar, more than 6 people out of 10 do not have access to drinking water,while over half of the population practice open defecation. The Great Island has to mobilize more than USD 200 million per year to improve access to water, sanitation and hygiene. For the time being, the financing of this sector is heavily dependent on international assistance.
